HUNAGI joined the Flickr image sharing community on 25 May 2005 and is member of the Google + Flickr = Geoblogger group since 11 December 2005. HUNAGI photo collection will be part of the Geoblogger georeferenced visualisation. Meantime HUNAGI upgraded its membership to Flickr Pro and now the systematic upload activities are carried out on continuous basis.

Editor's Note

A hazai térinformatikai kultúra terjedését leginkább befolyásoló tényezők a felhasználói igények mellett egyrészről a magyar és az EU vonatkozó jogszabályok (így a földmérési és térképészeti tevékenységről szóló hazai törvény, továbbá a tervezett INSPIRE, valamint a PSI, EWF és egyéb irányelvek), másrészről ezek mentén a versenyképességet elősegítő nemzeti téradat infrastruktúra (NSDI) mielőbbi kiépítése. Az interoperabilitás és a diszciplínák, valamint az ágazatok közötti horizontális, továbbá a nemzetközi együttműködés feltétele az európai programokban ( GMES, FP6/FP7) való sikeres részvételnek, a következő évtized mobil és helyfüggő alkalmazásait megsokszorozó GALILEO programra való felkészülésnek. Ezen feladatok végrehajtásának többek között az ITKTB NTIS, ITOP és a NFT-2 jelöl ki és ad lehetséges kereteket, támaszkodva az EU-s forrásokra. Naprakész információ szolgáltatásunk (honlap, hírlevelek) a fogadókészség folyamatos erősítésére törekszik kihasználva a HUNAGI külföldi és hazai szinten egyaránt elismert konzulens partneri szerepét és széles kapcsolatrendszerét, különösen az európai intézményekkel, továbbá az EUROGI, Eurogeographics, GSDI és - hazánk csatlakozását követően - a GEO szervezetekkel való munkakapcsolatban. Meggyőződésünk, hogy a magyar eredmények világszinten, a FIG, ISPRS, GSDI, ISDE, ICA de az ENSZ fórumain is hozzájulhatnak az EU lisszaboni céljainak eléréséhez. Küldetésének megfelelően a honi eredmények nemzetközi láttatásánk egyik eszköze maga a HUNAGI is, amely a térinformatika alap- és tematikus adatainak előállításában, értéknövelésében, alkalmazásában, fejlesztésében és oktatásában érdekelt vagy érintett szervezetek egyre szélesebb közössége. A sikeres működés alapja tagintézményeink folyamatos és aktív közreműködése, az állami felelős szervezetekkel való hatékony együttműködés. Mindez a HUNAGI térinformatikai közösséget, végső soron a gazdaság versenyképessége és az állampolgárok hasznát is szolgálja.

Országos Térinformatikai Konferencia (OTK)
A térinformatikai alkalmazások egyik legjelentősebb hazai rendezvényére kerül sor 2006. szeptember 28-29-én, tizenhatodik alkalommal Szolnokon, a felújított régi helyszínen a Városi Művelődési és Zenei Központban.

HUNAGI launched interactive weblogs devoted to the main directions set up by the strategy on NSDI for Hungary. A Call for HUNAGI members follows in Hungarian.
A HUNAGI magyar nyelvű interaktív blogokat indított.a Nemzeti Téradat Infrastruktúra Stratégia, az NTIS által várhatóan kijelölt fő irányokban:
1) jogszabályok és adatpolitika;
2)téradat-szabványok és adatbázis specifikációk;
3) téradat ellátottság, téradatok létrehozása és változásvezetése;
4) metaadatok szolgáltatása és a téradatokhoz való hozzáférés biztosítása;
5) térinformatikai ismeretek elsajátítása, a térinformatika alkalmazása az oktatás teljes vertikumában;
6) magyar közreműködés az euróatlanti szervezetek és intézmények munkájában.
Mindezeken felül:
7) tervezett, folyamatban lévő és befejezett alkalmazások, fejlesztések
8) egyéb figyelemfelhívás (események, dokumentumok, kiadványok, akciók)
9) Civil szerveződés keretei között megfogalmazott és a HUNAGI, mint a JRC SDIC szervezete által továbbítandó felhasználói javaslatok, megjegyzések az Európai Bizottság számára
Az 1-6 blogokhoz a HUNAGI önkéntes társszerkesztők jelentkezését várja a hunagi@hunagi.hu címre max 3 terület prioritás szerinti sorrendben való megjelölésével, 2006. április 21-ig.
A blogok pontos címe ezt követően kerül nyilvánosságra, olyan sorrendben ahogy az önkéntes szerkesztők rendelkezésre állnak.
Az 1-6 témakörök tartalmi leírását maga az NTIS fogalmazza meg, a 7-9 témakörök tartalmáért a hozzájárulást tevők felelősek.
Várjuk a HUNAGI térinformatikai közössége tagintézményeiből, tagszervezeteiből a szakértők és diáktagság aktív részvételét!
Az NTIS vitaanyag szakaszban áll, a munkadokumentum honlapunkról és az ITKTB honlapjáról (www.itkht.hu ) egyaránt elérhető.

The major rivers in Hungary, namely the Danube and Tisza are expected to crest today with a highest ever-recorded level. The Danube bend is exceptionally heavely impacted: many of the villages are isolated by the highwater and experiences limited accessibility. The use of earth observation and satellite positioning techniques and service capabilities developed during the previous decades available at FÖMI is expected to be highlighted by the opening speech of Dr. Norbert Berczi, Deputy State Secretary of MoARD at the opening of the CEOS WGISS & WGCV Meeting held in Budapest between 8-12 May 2006. GI/GIS is integrated part of the ICT supporting business and industry in collaborative work environment for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development. Workshop on the Strategic Research Agenda organised by the Hungarian partner HAAI of the international project AMI@Netfood (Development of Long-term Shared Vision on AMI Technologies for a Networked Agri-food Sector) accepted the role and importance of Spatial Data availability, access and related services on 24th March 2006. The meeting was organised by the Hungarian Association of Agro-informatics (HAAI), hosted by the Research Institute for Agroeconomics (AKI), both members of HUNAGI and attended by experts and representatives of acknowledged labs, institutions such as Institute for Agricultural Logistics, the Institute of Technology of MoARD (FVMMI), the Institute of Geodesy, Cartography and Remote Sensing (FÖMI) and NGOs including HUNAGI. HUNAGI member Hungarian Central Statistical Office (HCSO) – with the effective assistance of VÁTI (also member of HUNAGI) – published for the first time comprehensive thematic maps collecting the available statistical data on the state of environment. HUNAGI members Hydea Ltd and Geodezia Shareholding Company won EUROSTAT tender to implement the 2006 LUCAS Campaigne, the area frame sampling based European Land Use Inventory's field works for Hungary.

FAO TCP Pilot with integrated rural development, water management and land consolidation elements starts in interministerial collaboration. Chaired by facilitator Ms.Zsuzsanna Flachner, a preparatory meeting of the representatives of the stakeholders (including MoEW, MoARD, WWF) and invited Danish and FAO consultants was hosted by MoARD on 13 March 2006.

Dr.Ilona Vass, Vice-President of NKTH summarizes the DG JRC conference topics for the e-media











Hungary's priority needs within JRC areas of competence were discussed on March 10, 2006 The Round Table devoted to promoting collaboration between DG JRC and Hungarian organisations in Science and Technology areas was hosted by the Hungarian Academy of Sciences in Budapest. In the interactive session the following HUNAGI member institutions held presentations: Hungarian Meteorological Service, University of West Hungary, Hungarian Geological Survey, Institute of Geodesy, Cartography and Remote Sensing as well as the Budapest University of Technology and Economics. Moreover, the Central Service of the Plant Protection and Soil Conservation was also actively involved. The importance of land parcel-related information in SDI was pointed out and the awareness raising on INSPIRE involving civil organisation mentioned. HUNAGI as organisation was also invited by the Hungarian host organiser, the National Office of Research and Technology.

President of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences Prof.Sz.Vizi.E emphesized the lack of bridge between science and economy in Europe. Referring to the issue employment pointed out by Ms.Maria Joao Rodriguez of the European Commission, HUNAGI SG addressed the geoinformation technologies as potential drivers for creating new jobs. SG of HUNAGI, Secretary of GSDI has been invited as member of the Editorial Board for the GSDI-9 conference on March 1, 2006. The conference will be held in Santiago Chile, November 6-10, 2006, where a refereed full-paper conference volume in addition to the normal conference proceedings will be published.











Synergy anticipated by the cooperation between the societies of logistics and geo-informatics. The Memorandum of Understanding has been signed by Presidents Péter Kiss of MLBKT and Zsolt Sikolya of HUNAGI on 28 February, 2006 in Budapest, on the premises of the Ministry of Informatics and Communication. The Joint Working Group on Cadastral identifiers of EuroGeographics and the Permanent Committee on Cadastre held its Meeting in the INSPIRE context on 22-23 February, 2006 in Vienna. The meeting was hosted by BEV, The National Mapping and Cadastre Agency of Austria. Hungary is involved and joined to the European Survey on Digital Cadastre recently. More on PCC: here









Joao Geirinhas, Secretary General of EUROGI paid a half day visit in Budapest. He met SG of HUNAGI, DG of the National Mapping Agency DLAG MoARD and visited the Remote Sensing Center, the GIS lab devoted to Topo Database and the Map and Orthophoto Archive. The talks on HUNAGI business issues were continued in the Danube Corso Restaurant. More on EUROGI: here
